At times, I feel like I must be the worst girlfriend ever. Today happened to be especially one of those times. I hate it how I can’t seem to control something that only I have control over – my emotions. Maybe I am big-headed, egoistic, full of pride and maybe even wrath too? I really hope not cause I don’t want to be that type of girl cause then, I wouldn’t be fit for you.

I love how you don’t give in to me cause you know I am that sort that needs to be knocked on the head and smacked right in the face for me to realise my mistakes and insecurities. I love how you don’t cajole me cause you know that cajoling me won’t work and I’ll eventually just come around myself. I love how no one knows me better but you. Only you.

Lovely pictures taken by the true photographer in the family, my sister. It was for her school assignment since her school took part in the marathon as part of the Millenia Institute Challenge. Nah, I wasn’t there to join her photography assignment cause I was at home sleeping my arse off.

The day started out bad today, and it proceeded on to become even worse. But, I think, towards the end, I felt slightly better. Let’s just hope I can get through the final two days of GESL this week, after which, it will be over.

Saturday. The weekends at last. I love love love weekends cause its the time of the week where most of the time the family gathers and if the mood is right, we go do something fun. Like today for instance. Woke up as early as 8am (can you believe it?!) just to catch yesterday’s night episode of Hikmah that we missed.  After which, it was off to the airport for brunch. Tom yam craving was not fully satisfied cause the tom yam yong tau foo there tak power! Nothing beats Jurong Point Banquet’s Tom Yam. Now, I’m starting to miss school already cause that used to be our form of temporary escapism.

Anyways, Pasir Ris Park after a heavy brunch. Loads of people which was not surprising cause it being a weekend and all. Ice-cream and bottled drinks. In the evening, attended my first ever McDonalds PARRTAAYY! It was Danial’s (my 5 year old cousin) birthday. I felt huge, old, and totally out of place sitting there in those kiddy seats and hearing all those kids screaming and running around. It is a birthday party, and aren’t we just supposed to sing happy birthday songs in all the different languages that we know, cut cake, eat cake and give presents? Apparently not. It was more of like having a McDonalds meal with more than ten children running around in and out of the party place, screaming at the top of their lungs. Well, at least things perked up during games and I even managed to go home with a party hat and a goodie bag! Haha..

Rainy day today and I got to stay-in the afternoon and allowed my hands and eyes to have a go at the new gadget at home. Canon EOS 350D. The pictures are hence courtesy of Canon this time round, while Nikon was left sitting in the drybox. No, I’m not that loaded to get a new dslr camera. The sister loaned it from school since she’s got a photography assignment later on this weekend. Jealous? Of course I am. The 350D was equipped with 18-200mm zoom lens I tell you! A little heavier and bulkier than my Nikon, but maybe it was just because of the lenses. Speaking of lenses, I have been meaning to get a wide-angle and a zoom lens this month right after my exams, kind of like a personal reward, but I decided to postpone that intention as I have decided to splurge on something else, something closer to heart. Shoes.

So I got for myself a pair of Dr Martens and I must say I feel like a rebel. \o/ As said, the best type of rebellion is not about smashing windows, throwing tantrums, or even about being wild and going against the rules. The best type of rebellion is individualism. Don’t be afraid to be yourself. Listen to sappy love songs when you want to and don’t care about what people might say. Wear orange when you feel like it and don’t care about what people might say. Indulge in an activity that interest you and don’t care about what people might say. People people people. Why do we care so much? You, you’re you and be that way. It’s amazing how powerful a pair of shoes can be. Magical shoes, I must say.

Magic? Managed to get Enchanted with the fellow classmates and Patrick Dempsey is just too hot. Maybe I have a thing for hairy guys. They’re definitely a turn on. Think Patrick Dempsey and Hugh Jackman. Moss hair. Ooolalala.

For now, I have certain test I have yet to mug for.

Linguistik and Jawi papers done, and one more left to go. The dreaded Sastera. Linguistik was harder than expected and although Jawi was slightly better today, I’m still not sure of myself, especially for the spellings and whatnots. *Pulls hair* I’ve yet to start on sastera but I made a vow to get a touch of it starting from tomorrow. Today, its just simply going over to nenek’s house and just chill. Really, exams can bring out the worse in you.

I’m a moody, easily irritated, very sensitive, agitated girl. Give me two more weeks and I’ll be back to being myself.

First uni exams and I must say I am scared shit. I’m not sure how I’ll do for this semester but I am really really praying that I’ll at least do okay. Jitter-bugs, butterflies in stomachs, sweaty palms, nail-biting – you name it, I’ve experienced it. But for not, I really want to get the exams done and over with so I can then enjoy my holidays.

To sum up, the unplanned evening with you was great and perhaps, maybe even beyond that. You brought me through the whole stretch of road, with planes above our heads, admiring the beautiful sunset with our faces literally being slapped by the wind. My hands around you, clinging on for safety as I looked up and enjoyed the scenery and most importantly, enjoying that unspoken moment between us, while you rode and acted as if it was only normal that you took my hand and intertwined it with one of yours.

Stepping into drains and muddy grounds, you brought me to catch a closer glimpse of the last few minutes of sunset. It was peaceful and calm. The silence was broken with our laughters and teasing. Those simple absent-minded gestures that you did, was really thoughtful and as mushy as I might sound, it was sweet. Its these unexpected moments that I enjoy most with you.

Photo taken with my measly camera phone, to remember the fun we had doing it, but the the whole evening is still etched in my mind. An imperfect heart, but that’s how our love is, imperfect, so we can keep on trying to achieve perfection. Thank you, my boy, for the evening.

Uncle Idrus’ wedding last Sunday. Overdued pictures, I know…but I’ve been busy with presentations and finalizing my psychology essay. Besides the wedding being a success, so was my PBL presentation. As for my psychology essay, I think I’m good. Exams are literally around the corner, and I really shouldn’t waste my time on the net.

Pictures not related to the title cause I mainly took pictures around the community centre rather than inside the hall where the preparations were taking place cause the hall was too dark. Preparations for Uncle Idrus’ wedding tomorrow. Not much to do actually cause the community centre’s deco team practically had most of it undercontrol. The deco was simple. The theme was light green and environmentally-friendly with potted plants here and there. All I did was sit, talk and eat. From 6pm up till 9pm. Now at home, I’m determined to finish up my psychology essay. Here goes…
